Jeanie and Kyle, where do I begin? At this point I feel like these two are friends, and I’ve secretly told myself their dogs are my bff’s. As soon as I met these two for their engagement session…. The rest was history. I knew we’d get along; I knew it was going to be an amazing wedding experience.
These two met on OK Cupid. Jeanie wasn’t into him at first and only agreed to meet with him on a basis of being friends….. Well look where we are now!
They love watching The Voice together and also are quite fabulous at building furniture together. The gorgeous bar in their house was made by THEM
You all know how much I love garden weddings. I feel like they are honestly a huge part of what makes me fall in love with wedding photography. The history of the home, or what the future will be after the wedding. Whether it’s a family home, a friend’s home, the couple’s home. Getting married at a home is special, it has a completely different feel from venue weddings.
This wedding in particular was so special for me because I was getting to know them as they bought the house, I then got to visit the house for an in home session with their dogs, Gemma and Chase. I still remember Jeanie and Kyle feeling nervous about the wedding pictures, and generally having the wedding at their brand new property. Would it look good enough? What about pictures? There is nothing “special” back here. BUT I already knew though. I knew the magic that was going to completely transform this gorgeous open space in Glen Arm, Maryland. The trees, the fences, the open space between he houses. I WAS SO EXCITED TO SHOOT HERE.
They got married the first of September. Gorgeous weather AND EVEN MORE GORGEOUS DETAILS. WOWZA! Jeanie and Kyle almost engineered everything themselves, with the help of their friends and family. Their favorite part was reading their vows and being married by their uncle!
This was one of my favorite weddings to photograph last year and I am forever grateful these two found me and booked me!
